USMC TECOM Range Technical Support
Claxton staff support the Marine Corps Training and Education Command (TECOM), Range Training Programs Division (RTPD) portfolio of programs with a comprehensive solution that entails applied expertise with: Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS); Requirements Transition Process; VV&A; DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) Integrated Architecture products; Marine Corps Information Assurance Program (MCIAP); and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE). This comprehensive support strategy provides: Enterprise Architecture (EA) and External Information Portal and Website management; Enterprise Level Information Technology Engineering; RTPD program support; Training Capability Assessments; Training Processes/Metrics Analysis; and JCIDS expertise to guide the development of training aids, devices, simulators and simulations, live ranges, and range instrumentation.
The Claxton team provides SMEs supporting RTPD JCIDS documentation for live, immersive training systems, and simulators. Our staff collaborate with engineers, users, and requirements sponsors (i.e., CD&I), to define performance attributes (i.e., KSA/KPPs); conduct Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VV&A); and facilitate requirements transition.
USMC Manpower & Reserve Affairs Support
Claxton staff support the Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC), Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Military Manpower Policy-Integration (MPO-I) Branch with a team of Operations Research Systems Analysts (ORSAs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) providing Business Process Improvement (BPI) to the Human Development Resource Planning and Implementation (HDRPI) initiative. The objective of this effort is to improve the manpower management process through a comprehensive analysis of data elements affecting recruiting, retention, MOS accession, and related factors impacting force structure and combat effectiveness.
The Claxton team supports the HDRPI initiative with a phased approach to identify relevant metrics, data elements, processes, and procedures affecting the current manpower management process. The initial stage is to collate the relevant data findings (i.e., benchmark) and their impact on M&RA processes for planning, sourcing, training, and managing personnel from recruitment to end of contract/enlistment.
